Organizations
Altar Guild
A group of dedicated parishioners gathers on Saturday mornings and as required for special occasions such as weddings to prepare our altar and worship space for services. This is an informal but dedicated group that is always looking for new members.
St. Martha’s Guild
The Guild is the women’s’ group of the Grace parish community. Meeting for fun, fellowship, and programs with speakers, the Guild gathers on the first Monday evening of each month during the program year. The Guild also supports a program of outreach. This group of women, of diverse ages and interests, begins its meeting with devotions, prayer, and the liturgy of Solemn Benediction.
The Grace Men’s Group
The men of the Grace community gather on the first Friday of the month at 7:00am to offer Morning Prayer to all. The gentlemen of the parish provide coffee and doughnuts to all comers.
Acolytes, Readers, Servers
Members of the community of all ages assist with the liturgies of the Parish as acolytes, readers, and servers. Some join in as readers and as leaders of Morning and Evening Prayer. Opportunities are also available for those who wish to help distribute Holy Communion at the altar as Eucharistic Ministers and for others as Eucharistic Visitors to those who are unable to be with us at services.
Grace Choir
The choir of Grace assists the community in its worship on Sunday mornings at the 10:00 am service and on feast days and other special occasions. Their offerings come from a broad range of traditional musical literature. Rehearsal is usually on Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm. New members are always welcome. If you have an interest in joining, ask a member of the choir or Kathryn MacCourt, the organist and choirmaster.
Focus and Vision groups
A number of groups meet during the course of the year to provide vision and leadership. These include groups that focus on Evangelism and Hospitality, Christian Education, Liturgy and Outreach. Any member of the community is welcome to attend. Meeting times are announced in the bulletin.
Vestry and Wardens
The The Vestry and Wardens are the elected lay leadership of the Parish. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month and begin with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Meetings are open to all in the community.
